As a landlord I really wish both sides would abide by the signed lease.

lol funny story:

I used to manage 300+ units and often I would get a "tough guy" that refused to pay his rent and would dare me to evict him.

One time when I sat with one of them in front of the mediator when told he had a few days to move out, the tough guy broke down in tears as he knew he would have to move back in with mommy. I "almost" felt sorry for him.

Yeah, that’s a problem for sure. Letting your emotion get too involved. Everyone’s got some sort of story they’ll tell you.

And I get that some landlords can be pain in the asses but man, all of us signed a contract.

I hate the fact that people don’t live up to their word, simply because it’s the right thing to do.
