I've tried ddg, brave search and also self-hosted SearchXNG w Start9 but i cannot seem to figure out how to use it on my phone when I'm outside..

I always use ddg first and if the results suck, add a ā!gā to the front and run again
Yes everything is pancake ass compared to Google, but the cost is steep for those saved milliseconds
the popups are insane here no joke if i e.g. want to find opening hours, address and/or phone nr google displays it immediately on the right.. best feature fr..
Startpage uses Google but acts like a proxy.
You need tailscale. But also, I've almost ditched Google for ai in most cases.
