Does anyone know why this plastic strip is on and in some bags of chips?

I understand on the outside, But it’s so awkward on the inside of the bag.

It could just be a manufacturing error. Is it inside every bag?

Yeah and it’s really annoying eating the chips with this plastic strap.

Can you win something with the QR code? If yes, it is inside so they can make sure you open the bag to have a chance to win, and to open the bag you mostly have to buy it first
