A lot of Asian countries have a high prevalence of lactose intolerance so it's not a large part of their diet.

I preferred my theory that they just suck as a culture

Basically populations that had access to dairy farming evolved to have lactase persistence, enabling them to digest lactose into adulthood. Otherwise that ability is lost once you are no longer a child and don't need your mother's milk.

I'd die from starvation if I was lactose intolerant. I eat so much cheese, yogurt, milk & cream 😂
