There are still a lot of people (like some friends) who think it’s a good idea to have money in your savings account yielding 3% pre tax while official inflation is at +7%.

WHY?

I think most people who have savings accounts only keep them for liquidity reasons. I don't know anyone who really use them for savings.

Yeah and 3% isn’t nothing on a liquid account like that. Online savings you can get up to 5%

Currently in the process of moving from online savings to Bitcoin..
