i really like Alder wood. Its wood is white, but if you strip the bark fairly soon after cutting one down, it turns red in the sun.🌞

that chicken is a survivor. fought off and out maneuvered a mink attack, slept in a tree for 6 months afterward. i prefer her company to most humans.
The chicken deserves to not be eaten.
