imagine the "great script restoration" gives Bitcoin unlimited computational power. you can now do anything with script, even more than just OP_CAT would allow you to.

so what? ethereum has had all that since always and tons of people trying to find a way to scale payments there for almost 10 years and the best they got was zk-rollups, which is shitty as scaling and only increase throughput by 2x

His presentation seemed to me to be more about cleaning up technical debt and improving quality of the underlying script system than solving explicitly for scaling.

Op_cat & things like it are not particularly helpful & open doors to attack bitcoin. They will not be added. The tools currently available have not been properly put to use.

Make virtual addresses embedded in on-chain addresses. Think of the domain name system. TLD is the on-chain address. Domain name is the L2. Subdomain is L3. Etcetera. Use a merkle tree to prove balances, publish proofs on-chain, and use it to validate the next level up balancing transactions like nested, automated, decentralized clearing houses (bitcoin-based DAO).
