If you installed Signal before Play services, it will use their own push. If it's shown as an active app meaning running a foreground service, it's using their own push. It's quite possible the battery estimates became more accurate in Android 16.

I wish nostr:nprofile1qqsvnx99ww0sfall7gpv2jtz4ftc9v6wevgdd7g4hh7awkpfvwlezugpz4mhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejqzrthwden5te0dehhxtnvdakq20hzsk would use a seperate push service and not their own (45% battery usage for me)
