My computer has just shut down and when I managed to turn it on again the date is set to December 31st. It seems my Mac travelled to the past! 😜

If it's an older computer, chances are it needs the CMOS battery on the motherboard replaced.

The average life of a cmos battery is about 3-5 years and they can last up to about 10 years, it really depends on how you use your computer.
