I think I've only muted spam bots so far, but I've been considering muting a few voices that consistently have bad takes and add no value to my feed.

It’s not about disagreement. I actually follow some accounts because I disagree with them but still respect their opinions.

What’s interesting is that the people who seem to be muted the most are the same ones I’m now thinking of muting myself. They’re always the loudest about “censorship,” as if they’re entitled to my attention. At some point, maybe they should consider that they might be the problem.
