The Norwegian press release on their recognition of Palestine is more nuanced than you might expect will all the noise out there. The devil is always in the details with diplomacy, but e.g. they recognize the PLA, not Hamas, and they refer to the Prime Minister rather than the (afaik far more authoritarian) President.

(Uhh, there's no PLA, it's not the PLO either, but the Palestinian Authority - this place is confusing)

A powerful message from our Taoiseach Simon Harris on Irelands recognition of Palestine.

“On the 21st of January 1919 Ireland asked the world to recognise our right

to be an independent State.

Our ‘Message to the Free Nations of the World’ was a plea for international

recognition of our independence, emphasising our distinct national identity, our historical struggle, and our right to self-determination and justice.

Today we use the same language to support the recognition of Palestine as

a State.”

I find it contains more wishful thinking though, where Norway seems to be taking more concrete steps. Though neither side is directly negotiating between Hamas and Israel. Without involving those two parties directly I don't think rockets will stop firing or hostages start getting released.
