Attacks against bitcoiners are becoming more common across the world.
I’ve been working on a mechanism that acts as a self-sovereign “panic button” that simultaneously locks wallets and allows a security response. The idea is that you buy time and coordinate with security teams or law enforcement to prevent the loss of bitcoin and enhance your physical security.
Users carry a pre-signed lock transaction with them that can be activated via any device that can ‘curl -X POST
This makes hands free activation possible (Alexa, lock my bitcoin), or providing the sig to any operation that makes it easy to activate.

Use it regularly for private / sensitive conf calls. It gets confused occasionally when joining a room but overall find the AV quality very good. Kinda taking Paolo’s word for the security of the technical parts to date.

It’s not 21m. It’s an new coin issuance as a block reward approximately every 10 mins; with an initial coinbase of 50, with 32 halvings every 210,000 blocks. Change the blocktime, or the halving interval or the initial set point and you get a different total supply.
