So the supposed reason we vaccinated for chickenpox was to reduce the occurrence of shingles…plot twist:there’s now a strain of shingles that only affects those who’ve had the chickenpox vaccine…guess that means I’m double fucked because I had the vaccine and then 2 cases of chickenpox lol it’s like there’s this thing where like viruses mutate or something once they’re deprived of food or something, I don’t know…

Even more fun, the shingles vaccine is only good for a few years after, so if you don't get shingles during that time it's useless.

Exactly. And shingles in general is not even that detrimental. For most it’s a painful inconvenience.
