I think Jon was a truth-teller the country needed when he first ran the Daily Show. Obviously he had some bad takes, but he was telling truth to a degree that mainstream media simply wasn't.

The Problem, or whatever his Apple TV show was called, was awful from the little bit that I watched. He seemed very neutered in his opinions.

His first Daily Show a couple of weeks ago appeared to piss off a lot of people, especially in camp Biden, and I think that's good. He said what everyone is thinking. Time will tell whether he's acting in good faith and, if he is, how long he can sustain the truth telling in society in 2024. I'm open to seeing where it goes while simultaneously not super hopeful.
