Neither of my parents are at hospice stage yet, but both are dealing with numerous health issues. It’s your “being a parent to your parent” statement which I was not expecting and find so hard. My brilliant and fiercely independent parents have become needy of me(which I don’t mind), but are resentful of being needy.

I hear you. My pop is mid-80s and just had an operation to remove a tumour. His health has been declining badly since Covid hysteria scared the shit out of him and he didn't move for 2 years. Hard to go through. Stay strong, Susie! x
