Here’s a quick hack to check if 5G is truly off on your phone

For iPhone users:

→ Go to your keypad

→ Type *3001#12345#*

→ If it says LTE

You’re on 4G, the 5G radio isn’t being used.

→ If it says NR (New Radio) or NR-SA / NR-NSA.

That’s true 5G.

For most Androids:

Type: *#*#4636#*#*

Go to Phone Information, scroll down

You’ll see which network type is active (LTE, NR etc)

For most Samsung’s:

Dial *#0011#
