Haha not a weird questionā¦ iris is so random right? when I decided to create a nostr account that was transparentā¦ I approached it at as the lowest common denominator userā¦ I actually had heard about nostr sometime early mid summer.
At the time, I was about 4ish? years into contributing to another decentralized projectā¦ I feel differently about that project than I did in the beginning.
Nostr not having a native token appealed to me but I wanted to see the decentralization process from a different perspectiveā¦ one where I didnāt have the position of privilege so to speak.
So, I approached nostr as I imagined my friends wouldā¦ and thatās kind of how I ended up on irisā¦ thereās more to that but thatās the gist
That's actually really cool to hear. When I heard about Nostr it was in late 2022 when Jack Dorsey mentioned it on Twitter and I was interested in it because it was different than other platforms like Mastodon (I have not been on that platform for a hot minute lol).
So fast forward to now I signed up about a couple weeks ago and I'm been loving it so far. Just meeting new people from around the world and who are also interested in #Bitcoin is amazing.
I've learned so much here and about #Bitcoin it's insane. I'm not going to lie but I was against Bitcoin until I started using zaps.
I love that you are enjoying it here! And I love that you have found yourself loving btcā¦ the lightning network certainly has done wonders for adoption. That makes me happy to hear.
Nostr has done some very interesting things with integration and interoperability.
The lightning network is a hidden gem to a ton of social media platforms.
I can only see #Nostr using it and I totally think other platforms should take notes. Just saying š.
Content Creators and Journalists and anyone who creates meaningful content would so benefit like independent musicians on #Nostr.
