I have the non-pro, it's fast, but battery still shit, needs two charges a day

I have one (using it now) and also have a 6 Pro sitting next to me. If you can get the 6 pro at a discount, I would recommend it. They seem like the same phone to me except for the button placement - I prefer the 6 pro layout.

Go for it if you can afford it but 1k $ is well above my reasonable price zone for a fragile smartphone.

And is not even waterproof 😆

That’s why I am not going to jump into making any decisions on a whim. Imagine that I know zero about what decent Android phones exist at this point, and even that is probably overly generous.

Google sent me a free Pixel 7 for a work thing I did for them… I totally dismissed it at first — it’s still in the package! But I might actually have to put it to use
