GM everyone #Nostr

I have been reading a lot about #bitcoin and I have several certainties and some doubts.

I will start with the certainties:

-I understand why it is unconfiscable but I read that the government and authorities can expropriate it, how can they do it and know who it belongs to?

The only way they could ever take it from you:

1) you gave up your seed willingly, probably under coercion

2) you had it custodied with a company whose assets they seized (much like leaving your fiat with a bank)

How they might know what Bitcoin is yours:

1) you bought it from another party who had your information attached to the transaction (such as an exchange)

2) you paid for a product with your name attached to it

That's the basics without getting too convoluted

Thank you for responding, with the 1 depending on the coercion they force anyone.

Where could I get bitcoin without giving my personal ones?

And where to spend them too, I don’t know many physical places that accept it.

Buying anonymously: https://kycnot.me/

Where to spend them:

- https://btcmap.org/ (brick and mortar businesses)

- Oshi app has a lot of online stores

I'm sure there's a lot more resources that I don't know about

There are ways to avoid it, the safest is first not to use it for activities outside the law, #Bitcoin is transparent and everyone can see and also track who it is. Second, not getting it in centralized exchanges, many of them ask for KYC
