With Primal, it reads from their centralized caching server. It can alter the content it shows you, not show you certain content, etc and you wouldnāt know
They are known to shadowban people from trending
It is a walled garden, with the doors open, for now.
I'm not sure it is on purpose, but none of nostr:npub1utx00neqgqln72j22kej3ux7803c2k986henvvha4thuwfkper4s7r50e8 news bots show on primal currently.
I can't imagine why they would be censored on purpose, rather likely a glitch in caching that is removing them thinking they are spam.
Regardless, if Iām following them I should see them, right? My followed profileās posts should be hunted down at wherever the profileās posts are said to be broadcast to by the profileās designated relay.
Are you saying
- Primal app search results are among whatās cached on Primal relays only?
- I can only view notes that are cached on Primal relays, even if primal doesnāt cache notes from the people I follow?
Yes, if you follow, you should see them. This is not currently the case with primal. Likely a caching server issue.
I think search results use their cache as well, but not 100% sure.

Sounds worse than I originally thought. I tried Primal once, and got pissed off when they asked for name and address. WTF.
