I agree that CBDCs will be easier. Easier to control how you spend your money, easier to limit the amount you can spend, and easier to confiscate all of it.

With CBDCs, they will punish savers and force everyone to live paycheck to paycheck.

I don’t think so, that would make fractional reserve lending impossible.

They'll set negative interest rates on deposits when they want to goose consumer spending. That plus inflation will be very punishing to anyone who tries to save their money, forcing equities as the TINA option.
