nostr:npub1ars5ljjk0xj4ehdy8yj73hcc6kk5q4yz6suzfqlma4w4yn5r86wsg6ucel I stand corrected. nostr:npub1ex7mdykw786qxvmtuls208uyxmn0hse95rfwsarvfde5yg6wy7jq6qvyt9 will accept my deposit and allow me to buy right away, but they won’t let me move my sats for 3-5 days until my deposit clears. nostr:npub1cn4t4cd78nm900qc2hhqte5aa8c9njm6qkfzw95tszufwcwtcnsq7g3vle what is this? I thought strike encouraged self custody. If your gonna let spend the funds to buy sats, you’d should let me take them to cold storage.

Sure hope I’m not standing on a rug. This ain’t cool. 🤔

Paying an extra 1% on the spread these days too. Used to be 0.3% or less.

I’m not so concerned about the spread. They have to protect themselves from fast price fluctuations and have to keep the doors open, but I want my sats safe in my custody…. which I thought they were promoting

Funding your strike fiat balance with ACH payment methods are slow..very slow.

Strike is protecting themselves from non-sufficient fund rejections 1-5 days after you initiate a fiat deposit.

I bet they were taking some losses from their very generous policy. Imagine this:

- user deposits $100 fiat over ACH to strike

- user immediately pays themselves $100 in btc over LN

- days later, users bank rejects the withdrawal

- strike lost $100 because they can’t claw back the btc

I did ask Strike about plans to implement FedNow, which would support instant settlement for the fiat leg, they said they had no plans.

we are. we also are turning card rails back on starting yesterday, will be fully rolled out next week

the ACH stuff is complicated but getting better. some users saw withdrawal holds but not a forever thing

if anyone is having a bad experience just DM me, can resolve it for you

Thanks for responding nostr:npub1cn4t4cd78nm900qc2hhqte5aa8c9njm6qkfzw95tszufwcwtcnsq7g3vle No doubt the ACH stuff gets complicated. It just makes people nervous when things start changing. Nice knowing your listing and got our

backs. Keep on keeping it real, innovating, and shaking up the mainstream media from the closet my friend. 🤙🏻🫂

I love my Strike wallet.

What about paycheck direct deposit?

cards launching first (globally too!), then direct deposit after 👍

Awesome! Thank you.

Will these be available for US business accounts too?

which part?

Specifically interested in an account for my WY LLC with Strike.

Which I'd expect to be easier than say PR and HI, or I'm guessing NY. Even my personal account stops functioning when I pass thru those jurisdictions.

Perhaps Montana or Delaware are friendlier jurisdictions too...

will this resolve issue of not being able to immediately withdraw btc?

nostr:npub1cn4t4cd78nm900qc2hhqte5aa8c9njm6qkfzw95tszufwcwtcnsq7g3vle , just opened an account with Strike. Hoping to withdrawal BTC immediately but currently limited to 3-5 at waiting period. Any chance you can tag my account on your end?

Did it give you debit card option? I’d imagine that would be instant.

For me, funding is basically instant, purchase sats as soon as deposit hits (basically instant), but ability to transfer sats was held up for 3-5 days until deposit settled.

It says adding a debit card is currently unavailable :(

Purchasing BTC is instant after a deposit. But waiting 3-5 days to withdrawal is a bummer.

I had to update the app in App Store to get the debit card button back. Just came back a couple days ago for me.

Yup. I used to deposit fiat into Strike and then pay a lightning invoice to receive a gift card for where I’m out to eat to earn sats back. I still can, but using Cash app now.

Yeah I’m thinking I may be moving to nostr:npub1cashappn03s3cl2ljsdntv0v28e2um5lgx4vjctqjt23pcwzjhsqmtdg5l as well. So you can buy and move sats there without waiting?

My understanding is that Strike doesn’t report fiat balance -> Lightning payment as a btc purchase to your friendly government tax collector. Cashapp makes you buy btc, then pay over Lightning, resulting in a btc purchase report. Please correct me if I’m wrong.
