Simplex is badass and is pretty reliable now
And everytime someone has told that, it falls flat on its face. I prefer communication tools that communicate.

I literally use it every day
I have a dozen contacts talking over self - hosted tor relays,
and 20 group chats on clearnet.
it works fine.
