I thought the commentary on the “first follower” at the end of the video was surprisingly insightful.
When applied to home life, the husband is to be the first follower of Christ, and the wife is the first follower of the husband. When she does this, she makes the husband into a leader and it makes it easy for the children to follow the family mission. Conversely, if the wife doesn’t follow the husband, the children would be “leaving the crowd” if they were to follow him.
