Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁

“But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah… from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days.” Micah 5:2 (ESV)

I had to use my wife’s phone to look something up and she had 174 tabs open! #asknostr is this normal?

Still testing but it looks like I was just able to one shot vibe an app wide storage refactor!

I did this by creating an AI consultant to split the refactor into bite size tasks and write the prompts for the coding agent.

Definitely using this method for large tasks moving forward.

Been making progress on Taskify (you may remember from #NutNovember ). I’ve updated the sharing features to make to-do list and schedule collaboration even smoother. I’ve been able to onboard the whole family for the shared Christmas schedule!

It also has multi-device capability if you use the same keys on separate clients.

The day my google account falls, I know my pilgrimage to digital freedom is finally complete. Unfortunately that day is not today.

Taskify is a nostr native to-do list app I’ve been working on. It doesn’t have the exact same features as Todoist, but could serve as a viable replacement. Probably the biggest missing feature is the calendar view which is on the Taskify roadmap.

Feel free to give it a try and let me know if there’s any critical features missing. https://taskify.solife.me

I created a GPT project and loaded the NIPs as context files. When I want to do something new I always ask it how I can make it protocol compliant so it tells me if there’s already a standard out there.

It uses a regular nostr key pair, although now that I think of it, I’m using the fileserver, maybe they don’t have a free tier for blossom? I’m not sure how nostr.build handles that.

What client are you using? I’ve enabled NIP-60 support for Taskify and it hasn’t been live long enough to say for certain there are no bugs, but I went with the strategy to store all the wallet data locally and then compare timestamps for events pulled from relays to sync updates. Not sure if this is completely interoperable but it’s been pretty stable between taskify clients in my testing.

Memes really are profound when you think about it. Universal human experiences that we can share with strangers to relate to one another and laugh together.

This is what I think about every time Peter Schiff opens his mouth. History has already shown us the result, and yet so many would repeat it. It truly is mind numbing 🤯

If you have a problem with cashu on those grounds, you should have the same problem with every other custodial service. It’s a little impractical to think everyone will want to be self-sovereign and run their own bitcoin and lightning nodes.

I was looking at the NIP for the kind3 following list and it says the content field should be left empty. This seems like a perfect sport for an encrypted contact list payload, no?

Is there another NIP that defines an encrypted contact list standard?

Capitalism only works in a moral society.

If profit margins are the highest and only aim (as is the case with most soulless corporations), abuse must eventually occur.

We must return to a society that values people and seeks to serve one another in a way that strengthens human bonds and mutually builds up. Contrary to the modern philosophy, companies should be both profitable and ethical.
