Whatever else you can say about Mike Pence, in America's hour of need, he DID do the right thing on Jan 6th. Now, that doesn't mean I like Pence, or think he should be president, but I do respect him on some level. 😔

Doing your job deserves no more appreciation than anyone that do theirs. When dozens of vice-presidents in a similar position had done before.

Like Al Gore. He did it when he actually had a bigger stake in the outcome.

Pence actually looked hard to find loopholes.

Pence can go fuck himself, incidentally. I will respect him if he did that.

He was pretty unflappable as a rabid horde was baying for his blood, and now he's attacking Trump explicitly. .. I do not say 'I'm on Team Pence', but I simply give him some credit, like I give Brad Raffensperger, or Liz Cheney credit. And he's going to give devastating testimony in Trump's trial.
