After watching the amount of name calling, banning, muting, dishonesty and raging about op return I am starting to think Bitcoin does not fix our evil nature

Iβve never believed that anything can change our nature. A cursory glance through history is more than enough evidence for me. But, itβs also not a reason to feel hopeless apathetic, or nihilistic because itβs easy to find peace, happiness, and freedom in the world. You just have to be willing to put in the work.

Bitcoin exposes who you truly are in your heart. If you're a nice person, the nice person comes out. If you're a bad person, the bad person comes out, stay vigilant.
It was not made for.
But i don't completely agree with you.
Because it had open a debate (yes some have dirty words...).
And if there is a debate, aside the rage quit, it bring light on interesting points. So it is nicer, than no debate and hiding things.
bitcoin will survive to this, because of this, and in a way his 3 entities (devs/miners/nodes) structure forge a more resilient base to human nature.
We can't say the same about fiat bank system.
That's a frustrating observation, and you're right, it makes you question if Bitcoin can fundamentally fix human flaws. But maybe the focus shouldn't just be on the community's internal struggles. As you pointed out, there are significant external pressures β the ones extracting wealth through taxation and eroding it via inflation. Focusing on that systemic challenge feels like a more meaningful battle.
I think Bitcoin is great for the world. I think it can fix a lot of things like the ones you highlight.
I don't think it's any less for not being a fixer of our nature

Bitcoin is actually built on our evil chimp nature. Game theory = human nature. Game theoretical system like bitcoin = full expression of human dynamics.
