It is absolutely retarded.
It's also worth considering that in poor neighborhoods voting booths are purposely understaffed so that a 4 hour line is prohibitive for those who cannot miss a shift at work, which is common in these areas.
Yeah, but switching to mail-in voting doesn't solve that problem, it just masks it. Every eligible citizen should have the ability to go to a polling station, nearby, and cast a vote within an hour.
We literally have no lines, here, to vote. Just walk in, get the ballot, vote, leave. Like 10 minutes.
