If everyone is Van Gogh, then nobody is.
He was only special because of his rarity and novelty.
If everyone is Van Gogh, then nobody is.

There is only one Christian: Jesus.
Jesus wasn't a Christian.
He is the only Christian. Everyone else, counterfeit.
That is kinda like saying the shepherd is the only true sheep.
Not following that analogy. But I was more referencing Nietzche’s “god is dead” claim. I don’t necessarily agree with it entirely, but not many people consider the possibility that Jesus is the only Christian from a “Nietzchian” perspective. People thinks he’s “anti-Christian”, but he’s actually a fan of Jesus.
From that perspective, Nietzche may be the biggest fan of Jesus.
The job of a sheep is to follow the Shepherd. The job of a Christian is to follow Christ.
You know if a sheep is doing a good job being a sheep if it can be found with the shepherd.
You know if a Christian is doing a good job Following Christ if they can be found with Christ.
The only being that is exactly where the shepherd is is the shepherd himself, but that doesn't make him a sheep, and sheep doing a bad job of it doesn't make them any less sheep.
So too Christ isn't a Christian and the fact that Christians are bad at being Christians doesn't make them not Christians.
“The job of the sheep is to follow the shepherd.” gives me pause.
