It does that already. Shows you "Follow Back" if they already do. Briefly unfollow to see if they follow 😄🫵

Hehe the amethyst users don't get notified when you follow (dunno about other clients). So might be spam only for relays depending. But I head you, you wanted lil text that says "follows you" somewhere. I'm down

And while we're here, another feature would be to show who liked a note. That's in the notification for your own posts, but it's interesting to see for other people's posts too.

Ah yes, correct. Kinda confusing. Must be two different marks for following /followed.
