Male names mostly suck.

Over the past 25 years they have gotten 500x worse. Matthew, Mark, Luke & John might be the only acceptable names today that don't sound like a single mother dreamed it up.

Any white man under the age of 80 with a name that ends with -den, -dun, -ton or -son and isn't associatrd with non-ghetto American blacks like Curt, Keith & David, should consider going by their middle name or first two initials.

Naming your kid after the 12 tribes of Israel or anyone else in the old testament used to be normal. It's turned into a woman's naming schema.

I'm afraid we are stuck with Gaelic, English, Germanic that don't match the above pattern, and new testament names for the foreseeable. There are some pretty masculine names in the NT, for example: Thaddaeus, Phillip, James, Barnabas, Stephan, Cornelius, Claudius, Titus, Tiberius, Felix, Herod and many more. The list is rich.
