Which would be the end of it. I think people here are assuming that people are stupid and they will go along with whatever the govt throws at them, I don’t think so, especially when you have an alternative that’s as easy as bitcoin.

Sadly, COVID has shown very clearly that people are indeed stupid and do indeed comply with anything the government says.
Furthermore, people do not think that Bitcoin is easy and many don't think that it is a viable alternative.
