“Rank and yank” was Jack’s strategy for motivating managers. It just resulted in a toxic environment with more backstabbing than productivity.

Meritocracy. I forgot that term. Long time ago I read it.

I clearly remember the 10% rule; bottom go immediately and top get promoted.
