I think of them as Zap Sent-> Zap Received.
Not really sure if that’s what happening. But I like to believe so, it’s a nice confirmation.
Thunder and lightning occur at roughly the same time although you see the flash of lightning before you hear the thunder because light travels much faster than sound.
