Went over a speed bump at the grocery store and I heard a loud clang from my rear driver side suspension... In the dark it looked like I bent the spring or it got loose.

Luckily it's just this hose. After some scouring I've learned it's the fuel overflow release and the clip broke ...

phew

Wow good catch

did the clip get pinched in the spring and break, then shoot against the wheel well as a projectile?

I think it sits above the spring normally butaybe, it sounded like a gun shot so I thought my spring was gone

Ironically, you don’t speed over them. They’re meant for you to not speed over them.

I'm a learn by doing kind of person, I learned 21 mph is not right for that specific bump, will try 20

Better luck next time with those greatly reduced speeds.

I sense sarcasm but that's a 5% drop

Only sarcastic when I really mean it 😅

In my defense I was not going that fast, these are awful speed bumps and my car is 8 years old so the shocks are getting worn

All speed bumps are awful and are graded such as to send any passengers through the sunroof.

you're finally making sense

😂

High speed in the supermarket. That’s how the bate-bate carts were created; in a controlled environment. 😅

But also, who puts a spring breaker inside the parking lot?! 😅😅😅😅

It was a nasty bump 🤣

I believe so! 😆

😳 did you hit it hard? Glad that it wasn’t nothing serious.

Nothing too crazy, cars about 8 years old though so I may need new springs at some point. Thanks for the concern 🫂
