As someone who uses Bitcoin or LN where Monero is not available, I am happy when I can use BTC, LTC or BCH with more privacy.

I also use Bitcoin (on-chain or LN) when Monero isn't accepted.
Basically all Monero people are happy when there are any improvements to make spending more private and therefore more censorship resistant.
The people who push the idea that there's any conflict at all are usually NGU and SoV maxis.
