What do you mean ‘recommend topics’?

Right now there’s not much to do but get lost in the global spam as a newly onboarded person. We can recommend #topics to follow which will be a better UX - something of interest vs seeing spam right away.

Got it - but when I click on #topics, or #nostrdesign, there’s no interaction. So are we saying this is part of the future roadmap?
Idea is that we start tagging things but maybe in future you can just pick out keywords from posts without the need to tag

Apps will prob start recognising hashtags. All a work in progress
I see myself as a newbie and it seems like that’s a way to address the problem of getting lost in the spam as you start off here..
As I see it, this will improve quickly. Client devs are aware of this issue. Amethyst has done an amazing job thus far. I have a super clean global. I also added a paid relay nostr.wine.

We need to be careful that diversity and freedom to design remains. So some clients will be popular and others less so. But each user can choose what they want and each developer can develop what they want.
Centralising is dangerous and jut like bitcoin the protocol must remain decentralised for anyone to improve
