Seeing Lineage OS just makes me nostalgic for CyanogenMod πŸ₯Ή

Hey man me too, did my fair share of rooting/tinkering back in the day. Using Cyanogen, LeeDrOiD, AOKP, AICP, Dirty Unicorns, PAC ROM, Viper, Android Revolution et al

I was a big fan of paranoid android, and aokp.

Roman from AOKP was a good man. I'd post a photo of us, but I can't browse my old photos with Amethyst 🀣

Lmao rugged again

Hacker mode engaged. Edit an old photo and save it so it ends up being in your recents.

Anyways, Roman gave me his Swagger Mode ℒ️ hat for this photo.

Ahh yes loved having the Swagger Mode toggle πŸ˜† great pic!

Hey

thanks

di you see any chances to get graphene os on any other devices like the gigaset or fairohone?

Short Answer: No

Long Answer:

Pixels are currently the only phones meeting basic security requirements while also providing proper alternate OS support. There are other phones doing one or the other but not both. We want to support other devices but we aren't going to accommodate a massive security downgrade.

In most casrs those devices don't meet basic security requirements which is why we don't support them due to the purpose of GrapheneOS being providing a highly private and secure mobile device.

Thank you for the long answer.

Was just curious cause would have thought that at least the guys from fairphone would have thought about this.

what would be your advise for someone that cant afford a pixel?

Any plans to utilize Open EUICC for e-sim management?

Also, i was under the impression that cross-profile notifications weren't a thing...?

No we implement a cross profile notification system info is here:

https://grapheneos.org/features#notification-forwarding

As for Open EUCC, the team is already investigating an open-source implementation for eSIM activation, however, what currently exists out there doesn't support the latest standards, so it isn't a complete replacement or ready for implementatiin into a production ready OS.

GrapheneOS is the G.O.A.T. btw

The current amount of #privacy respecting #android #roms is something to behold. You no longer need a flagship #pixel device to #degoogle so you better start ASAP. Just go thru the supported devices list of these projects and you will surely find a very cheap device to begin already. You night even have one forgotten in some drawer!
