This idea could be applied more broadly to the device itself. i.e- unlock the phone with the NFC tag and it opens to your regular home screen, all apps and data accessible, etc. Unlock it with a passcode only (as if forced to do so by authorities), and it opens to a basic screen with minimal apps that you don't even use.

How's the interoperability between Android and iOS? Tried it a while back between me (GrapheneOS) and my sons (all iOS) and just couldn't get it to work reliably. Probably user error, but Evgeny has mentioned in the past that the interoperability was a challenge.

Even tried opening up Developer Options and couldn't fine anything there either. Was WiFi calling never available on the Pixel 5?

It would also be nice to run a nested variant of GrapheneOS in a VM to isolate apps. Plus Android provides a Chromium layer-1 sandbox as an OS feature to every app via isolatedProcess services. It could be desirable to move this to per-site VM instances using microdroid. It'd be a large and difficult project but with very high impact for web browsers.
