Tech is moving so fast that we just want to get it at the best price. I don't think we/they mind paying for it. We/they mind overpaying.

The root of the poor service epidemic is the sense of entitlement on the part of these (mostly younger) workers.
They can't be trained because they don't care. They are baffled by the fact that they have to work at all.
