Not sure I follow. He's been a Trojan horse for Bitcoin. He will not be a threat to it if we stay true to our principles and let him fail to understand the full scope of the freedoms Bitcoin will afford to scrappy individuals building on its rails.
I think the longer you are in Bitcoin the less value you find in him. To me it's just a sign that the person is still somewhat near the top of funnel and the amount of attention is because of how many pre coiners exist
