I'm not against public schools curating their selection for children. This is not "book banning" it's content curation. Content should absolutely be curated for children. They should not have easy access to porn for instance.

It should also be known that I'm not in favor of the public education system at all anyways. I think people should homeschool their kids and the government propaganda machine needs to be starved to death.

But this criticism itself usually falls flat. There's nothing wrong with supervising or screening content that children are consuming. It's kind of exactly the responsibility of adults... I just believe the parents are better at making that decision than any government bureaucracy.
