Zaps for reps?
I'm doing Starting Strength, so heavy shit is prioritized over reps.
5 sets of 5 reps for 3 workouts (squat, press, deadlift) on M, W, and F. Press alternates between bench press and standing overhead press.
Only 15 work reps each session if you don't count warmup reps.
Doh, it's 3 sets of 5 reps for 3 lifts.
3 * 5 * 3 = 45 reps on M, W, F
give us an update how long will you be able to keep increasing weight, first time i did starting strength i made it only for a month :D
I started slowly down (unable to add +5lb each time at about 2x body weight for squat and deadlift, 1.3x body weight for bench, and .7 bodyweight for press).
After that I switch down to +2.5lb each sesh, then down to +1.25lb, etc. Eventually I'll migrate away from novice linear progression and give the texas method a try.
Kids in or just out of high school seem to go alot further than 2x body weight, so age is def a factor.
Nice, same for me, week 8 this week of Stronglifts. Will do the 12 weeks then move to Tactical Barbell programs.
