It rains more often that it used to. So much so that it has lead to a lack of rain in parts of Oman, particularly in the mountains.
Artificial weather modification...

The clip with the airliner jet is deceiving. The "clouds" from the engine is the moisture by product from the combustion of the fuel, freezing near instantly as it hits the air because it's so cold up there, which gives you those trails
