Are we sure democracy is a good thing?

I don't have much of a dog in the fight for or against abortion. Except I have a daughter. I would like her to have Dominion over her body. ~however if someone operates on her (or gives her medication) without my knowledge or consent before she is of age, the courts will not save them.
