Remember when I said setting up tailscale would be easy?
Good times.

I need to figure out how to get tailscale on my StartOS device.
Clearnet is coming in v0.4.0. That will make it easier to use clearnet. For now, I think people use workarounds like running tailscale in a docker container on the start9 host and then bridge connections to a c-lightning rest service. I looked this up in the past and talked about it with other nostriches
Jesus, I need to learn more about this. I didn't understand that at all. Much investigation, much learning to do.
In other words, startos is more like a bespoke grandfather clock, and you better not open it up lest you break it's intricate movement.
You can't add foreign material to it like custom networking without messing everything up.
If only they could add clearnet like they said they would 2 years ago π₯²
Then I'll abstain until I hire you to do it for me.
I can definitely be hired to do such things.
I feel so special. We did a side quest last weekend. No hiring required π€π
You did all the actual work yourself hahaha
This is true. But you helped
I did, a lot π
Teamwork π€
When it started working though π€πΎ

It's the best feeling in the world. All the pain is forgotten.
Unless the effort was too long for the payoff, then the pain is real π
That payoff is magic. Literally magic though. LAN on the go
I Tailscale well through my umbrella device. Great for checking miners while away
I really love the Braiins app for that. How do you tailscale to your miner? I can login remotely to see all the files on my computer but how does that help to connect locally to the Bitaxe for example ?
That's the one place I don't have it.
I've actually been considering migrating my Bitcoin stack to my other server since it's just running in docker containers anyway. But it's an, if it ain't broke don't fix it, kinda deal.
