The standard American diet is so toxic and addictive that you’ll literally have withdrawal symptoms if you come off it.

Some of the effects can last months.

Me and my wife are switching to carnivore, but we've had to do it slowly... Eliminating all carbs except rice and tortillas. Then eliminated tortillas. Next week finally eliminating rice. Took 4 months of detox. It's crazy man

Carnivore is tough

Extremely difficult. I lasted a week.

Agreed... But it's fixing a lot of the hormonal problems my wife has had all her life. Worth it to see her in better health than I've ever seen her :)

If you are referring to such things as the lovey food pyramid and public school lunches…..well..just another example of gov. looking out for you. Throw some regularly frequented fast food chains with a little glyphosate on top and yum…I’ll have another.

What makes it an "American" diet? Every European country ive been to eats junk food like crazy and I was craving a salad when I lived in Central America. 😂

Yeah but that’s an American cultural export. We invented highly processed junk food then exported it everywhere else.

I think you're associating a poor diet with ideas of fast food. Obesity isn't exclusive to the US. I think the issue has more to do with how sedentary we've become vs. the "toxic" food we eat. I would argue that our food safety standards are relatively high compared to others.

It’s common nomenclature to refer to this style of eating as the “standard American diet”.

I think we just use shit ingredients and Europeans don’t allow that crap in their countries. When I go to europe, it doesn’t seem like they eat healthier, but I don’t feel like shit after eating out.

What exactly? Most European countries import their food. 👀

Depends on the country but in Italy using olive oil instead of seed oil, banned additives, dyes, hormones. In general, more pride and care to make and sell quality food.

Hamburger invented in Germany, pizza in italy, French fries...probably not USA native.... basically Americans took the best the world could offer and corrupted it, lol.

Actually hamburger was an American invention by German immigrants. But point taken.

Fiat standard functions

And people have visceral reactions to alternatives. Especially carnivore.

Wow 🤯

Can confirm this from personal experience. Establishing a healthy diet is one of the toughest things I've had to do in recent memory. Not the making food or anything like that. Simply dealing with cravings from time to time.

Keto flu. Its the worst. It's like having the real flu.

And if you are not used to it, you get sick from eating it..

so fucked up that this is accurate
