It does. Nostr has not only shifted my concept of data ownership when it comes to social media but also broke the hamster wheel of chasing social capital.
Joined Threads to check them out and it’s an avalanche of famous people on the timeline, then immediately open Damus and find real conversation going on. It feels like a parallel world.
Definitely. I heard all the famous people telling people to join 🧵, lmao. It’s just noise so Zuck can get all their data. I’m so glad I deleted my Instagram account yesterday.
I rather have conversations here, without an algorithm. And yes like you said data ownership is so important. I want to try and setup a private relay to backup my notes.
