👏 Open source is awesome. There was a nasty bug affecting Habla users in iO, certain versions of Safari and other mobile browsers. Submitted a patch to ndk and the 🐐s nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft and nostr:npub1zuuajd7u3sx8xu92yav9jwxpr839cs0kc3q6t56vd5u9q033xmhsk6c2uc swiftly merged and released a new version. The issue should be fixed now and https://habla.news/ should render correctly in those browsers.

I'd appreciate if you can test it and report issues if you find them, was able to confirm the issue was fixed in desktop Safari but don't have iOS. cc nostr:npub10awzknjg5r5lajnr53438ndcyjylgqsrnrtq5grs495v42qc6awsj45ys7

Safari will now replace Orion as my default browser.

Now my issue with Orion is on the list 😅

Not sure if it’s only me now, but I can’t log in with #[4] — Orion browser does not recognize the extension. I would find my peace with Safari, but it doesn’t support Alby and Nostore’s functionality is not as good.

Nevertheless great news and thank you guys! This is unbelievable!

there is an app by the NIP author, check out https://www.youtube.com/shorts/gfItS5Qe6tI where Pablo demoes it. there is also a huge bounty to add it to Damus nostr:naddr1qq9rzd3cxycrxvpexvesyg86np9a0kajstc8u9h846rmy6320wdepdeydfz8w8cv7kh9sqv02gpsgqqqw4rswg3nxy but no takers yet. I'd love NIP-46 in Amethyst too.

That is indeed amazing, and I looked at that keystore app before. The issue I see is that signer app has to be launched in the frontend to be able to listen to requests and sign anything, so it's probably gonna be not very convenient to use. And I'm not sure there can be a solution, at least on iOS. Anyone know better?

#[2] add NIP-46 to habla! NDK already supports it as a signer; all you need to do is instantiate an Nip46 signer and that’s it.

I listen to WBD and there’s no shame in that. Though I don’t endorse certain Peters decisions, but hey, he’s provided us with tons of great pods and interesting guests.

And thanks for your kind words regarding the #[7]! Happy to hear it didn’t come out totally lame — I wanted to launch with a more rounded product, but such things have an expiration date, so I decided to post it rather thank wait for another week. It will get better — got many ideas I didn’t manage to implement this time.

And hey, I don’t find this to be a competition, but hopefully an additional resource fellow nostriches and bitcoiners can enjoy. You guys are doing unbelievable job. Can’t imagine my morning routine without #[8] any more and I love it 💜🫂

I have a big problem with his advertising decisions, but it seems like he is choosing his sponsors a bit more wisely lately.

The #[7] looks incredible on Habla; I love the multimedia you were able to incorporate.

And I see friendly “competition” as necessary and healthy. Steel sharpens steel, and I’d rather we push each other to provide the best content possible while #Nostr is in its infancy, so that when the MSM accounts come in they won’t be able to swoop in and take over.

this is the way I'm making NDK

every time I need something on one of the apps I build, I just write the Nostr-specific code in nice interfaces in a generic way within NDK

it takes about 10% more effort than just writing nostr-specific code in my apps, but the dividends are MASSIVE.
