I pretty much always went hunting with my dad in my childhood. My first shot was a compressed air gun, then I was allowed to try a hunting shotgun and then I got to shoot with a hunting rifle. When I was a kid I always said I'll be a hunter. 😄

As an animal rights advocate, I don't have much for hunting except in all but the most extreme of survival situations, but I hear you. Love this story!
much better than raising and caging animals up to kill them imo.. 💚 but there are also very awful and unethical ways to hunt and lots of trophy fanatics.
